In conformity to the Constitution and Laws of the State,
I respectfully submit the following Report, of the condi-
tion of the Treasury, at the close of the fiscal year, ended
30th September last:
RECEIPTS.
The total receipts into the Treasury from all sources,
during the fiscal year ended 30th September 1870, amount-
ed to $2,522,478.93, which sum, added to the balance in
the Treasury 30th September 1869, viz: $445,340.41,
makes the entire amount in the Treasury for the fiscal
year $2,967,819.34. Statement "A" exhibits fully the
sources from which the said amount has been derived.
DISBURSEMENTS.
The amount of disbursements during said fiscal year,
amounted in the aggregate to $2,475,069.17, and there
remained in the Treasury at the close of the fiscal year,
the sum of $492,75017. Statement "B" appended to
this Report, shows the various purposes for which these
disbursements were the Acts of Assembly au-
thorizing the same.
ESTIMATES.
Statement "C" exhibits the estimated receipts into the
Treasury during the fiscal year ending 30th September
1871, to be $l,997,300.00.
The probable disbursements during the same period
based on existing laws, as exhibited in Statement "D," will
