He shall issue to the parties certificates

of stock of the State at 5 per cent, for

the amounts,

fore applied under the act of 1827, chap.

111, to deepening the harbor of Balti-

more, withdrawn and pledged and appro-

priated to redeem said stock,

The Treasurer to apply the same to

that purpose distributively,

The mayor and city council authoris-

ed to provide for the redemption and pay-

ment of said stock by assessment, levy

or loan, and upon redemption thereof by

said city with two years thereafter, the

said sum of $20,000 shall be paid as

forfeitures adjudged by Baltimore City

Court, when collected, to be paid to the

Mayor and City Council of,

justices of the peace of, or by judgments

of Baltimore county court, supercedeas,

shall be signed by the securities in pre-
