year eighteen hundred and thirty -four; when he form-

ally declared his intention of becoming a citizen of the

 

United States, but died in the following year before

 

this intention could be legally accomplished; And

 

whereas, the said Thomas Gregg, as purchaser for a

 

full and valuable consideration, became entitled as ten-

 

ant, in common with a certain Andrew Gregg, to a lot

 

of ground being leasehold property, situate on Eutaw

 

street in the city of Baltimore, by a deed of assignment,

 

bearing date the third day of June, in the year eighteen

 

hundred and twenty-six, from a certain Peter Rescanier,

 

executor of the last will and testament of Martha P.

 

G. Mantaliber, and which is recorded among the land

 

records of Baltimore County, in Liber W. G. No, one

 

hundred and eighty one, folio thirty nine; And -whereas

 

the said John Gregg, James Gregg, and Andrew A.

 

Gregg cannot receive and hold the said property with-

 

out the act of this General Assembly: Therefore,

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

May hold or dis-pose of property

That the heirs and personal representatives of the said

 

Thomas Gregg, be hereby authorised and empowered

 

to take, hold and dispose of the above described lot of

 

ground, in the same manner, as if the said Thomas

 

Gregg had been a naturalized citizen of the United

 

States, at the time when the said conveyance was made

 

to him.

 

CHAPTER 72.

 
   

An additional supplement to the act, entitled, an act for

Passed Feb. 18,1836

erecting a bridge over Choptank river, at Dover Fer-

 

ry, passed December session, eighteen hundred and

 

ten, chapter one hundred and twelve.

 

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-

bly by the memorial of the stockholders of the Choptank

 

Bridge Company, in general meeting assembled at

 

Easton, on Friday the twenty -seventh November, eigh-

 

teen hundred and thirty-five, that the income of the

 

bridge has become much lessened, and that no dividend

 

has been made among the stockholders since the year
