Passed April 2,1836

Resolution in favor of Jane Miles.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay Jane Miles, widow of Joshua Miles, an officer of the revolution, the half pay of a captain, in consideration of the services of her husband.

Resolution relative to the Revenue arising from the sale of the Public Lands of the United States.

 

Resolved ly the General Assembly of Maryland, That each of the United States, has an equal right in its just proportion, to participate in the benefits of the Public Lands, the common property of the Union. Resolved, That the Senators and Representatives of this State, in the Congress of the United States, he requested to use their exertions to procure the passage of a law to appropriate to the use of the different States of the Union, such part of the proceeds of the Public Lands of the United States, as may be equitable and just, and in accordance with the public interest. Resolved, That his Excellency the Governor be requested to communicate a copy of the aforesaid resolutions to each of the Senators and Representatives of this State, in the Congress of the United States.

Resolution in favor of Claude & Hammond.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the treasurer of the Western Shore, be, and he is hereby authorised to pay to Claude & Hammond, out of any unappropriated money in the treasury, the sum of one hundred and eighty-three dollars and ninety-four cents in full, for their account for Stationery.
