1835. RESOLUTIONS.

_____ each of the State Armories, condemned and totally unfit for service, and not worth repair, and will be wholly lost to the State if not disposed of at public auction:— Therefore,

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That, the Governor and Council be, am! they are hereby authorised to cause to he disposed of at public auction, under the superintendance of the respective armorers, upon the most advantageous terms, at such times and places us the Adjutant General shall direct, all such military stores us he may deem expedient, and that the proceeds of the sales be paid into the treasury of the State, to be appropriated as to thte legislature may seern proper.

Resolution relative to the establishment of a Naval

 

Depot and Navy Yard, in or near the City of Anna-

 

polis.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

the Representatives and Senators of Maryland in the

 

Congress of the United States, he requested to adopt

 

such means as to them may seem proper, calculated to

 

bring to the view of the general Government, the ad-

 

vantages possessed by the City of Annapolis, for the

 

establishment of a naval dept and a navy yard, in or

 

near said city.

Preamble and Resolution, relative to so much of the

 

act of 1834, as provides for the completion of the

 

Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company to Cumber-

 

land, and for other purposes.

 

WHEREAS, it is represented to the General Assem-

 

bly of Maryland, that a proposition is now pending

 

before, the Legislature of Virginia, authorising a fur-

 

ther subscription on the part of that State, to the capi-

 

tal stock of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company,
