Passed April 2,1836

An act to confirm the proceedings of the Register of

 

Wills, for Saint Mary's County, in completing and

 

recording certain papers left incomplete and unrecor-

 

ded ly Enoch 3, Millard, late Register of Wills for

 

said County, deceased.

Preamble

WHEREAS, at the death of Enoch J. Millard, late

 

Register of Wills for Saint Mary's county, there were

 

accounts, vouchers and exhibits in the office of Register

 

of Wills for said county, which appeared to have been

 

duly sworn to by executors, administrators and guar-

 

dians before him the said register, deceased, for state-

 

ment, file and record, by him; also inventories and ac-

 

counts of sales, duly sworn to, and wills proved, to-

 

gether with part of the proceedings of the court, and

 

other papers for file and record, and that the necessa-

 

ry probates and proceedings had not been spread at

 

large upon or annexed to some of the said papers or

 

instruments of writing, and it became necessary in

 

many instances that the probates to the same should be

 

written out and certified, with a view to the proper set-

 

tlements of estates of deceased persons, and to the

 

regularity of the proceedings of the court and regis-

 

ter; and whereas, by an order of the Orphans Court,

 

the register of wills for said county was authorised

 

and directed to complete and record all such papers and

 

other instruments of writing left incomplete and un-

 

recorded by the said late register, and whereas the regis-

 

ter of wills did proceed to complete and record all

 

such papers and other instruments of writing in the

 

manner and form, as far as applicable as prescribed

 

for the late register by an act, entitled, an act to au-

 

thorise the Orphan's Court of Saint Mary's county

 

to have perfected and recorded certain papers and in-

 

struments of writing, left incomplete and unrecorded

 

by the late register of wills, for the said county, pass-

 

ed at December session eighteen hundred and twenty

 

eight: — Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
