LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 294.

George Gale, a deed therefor, conveying the said lands

 

with others to Henry A. Hall, of Anne Arundel coun-

 

ty, a security, on whose credit he had raised the money

 

to pay for the said land, which deed is duly recorded

 

in Libcr W. S. G., number twenty, one of the land re-

 

cord books of Anne Arundel county, folios number

 

one hundred and fifty-five, one hundred and fifty-six,

 

and one hundred and fifty-seven, and that some doubts

 

are entertained, whether said lands are not liable to

 

escheat, since the death of Jonathan Neale Laughlin,

 

the former proprietor : — Therefore,

Release

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

 

That all the right, title, interest and estate, which the

 

State of Maryland now has or may hereafter have in

 

and to the said tracts of land, be and the same are here-

 

by released, granted and confirmed to the said Martin

 

Fenwick, his heirs and assigns forever.

 

CHAPTER 295.

Passed Mar. 24,1836

An act to divorce Eliza Chavalier, of the City of Bal-

 

timore, from her husband Nicholas W, Chavalier.

Divorce

SECTION 1...Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That the marriage heretofore solemnized

 

between Eliza Chavalier of the City of Baltimore,

 

and Nicholas W. Chavalier, her husband, be, and the

 

same is hereby declared null and void, and that the

 

said Eliza Chavalier and Nicholas W. Chavalier, be,

 

and they am hereby divorced a vinculo matrimonii.

Guardianship

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said Eliza Chava-

 

lier, be, and she is hereby declared to be entitled to the

 

guardianship of her child or children by her marriage

 

with said Chavalier;
