Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Clerk to give her

That the clerk of Cecil county court, he, and he is

papers

hereby authorised and required to give to the said Ma-
|
 
|
ry, freedom papers, as it a deed of manumission had
|
 
|
been regularly recorded in his office.
|
 
|
CHAPTER 291.
|
 
|
An act for increasing the width of Ruxton Lane, in the
|
Passed Mar.30,1836
|
City of Baltimore, and to change the name of the said
|
 
|
Lane,
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
Authority to in-
|
Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
|
crease width
|
more, shall he, and they, are hereby authorised to pro-
|
 
|
vide for increasing the width of Ruxton Lane, in said
|
 
|
city, by adding thereto twenty additional feet, to be
|
 
|
taken from the present southern side of the said lane;
|
 
|
Provided always, that before any property of any per-
|
 
|
son or corporation shall he taken, destroyed, impaired,
|
 
|
removed or used for the said purpose, the assent of the
|
 
|
owner shall either he first obtained, or provision made
|
 
|
for paying or securing to such owner, a just compen-
|
 
|
sation for the destruction, injury, removal or use of
|
 
|
his, her or their property.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Mayor and Ci-
|

ty Council aforesaid, shall provide for ascertaining the

|
amount of damages which shall he sustained by any
|
 
|
person or persons or corporation, by widening the said
|
 
|
tape as aforesaid, and for assessing such amount with
|
 
|
the necessary expenses incident to the ascertainment of
|
 
|
