An act for the relief of Mary Gray, a free woman of

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

ry, freedom papers, as it a deed of manumission had

 

been regularly recorded in his office.

 

CHAPTER 291.

 

An act for increasing the width of Ruxton Lane, in the

Passed Mar.30,1836

City of Baltimore, and to change the name of the said

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

vide for increasing the width of Ruxton Lane, in said

 

city, by adding thereto twenty additional feet, to be

 

taken from the present southern side of the said lane;

 

Provided always, that before any property of any per-

 

son or corporation shall he taken, destroyed, impaired,

 

removed or used for the said purpose, the assent of the

 

owner shall either he first obtained, or provision made

 

for paying or securing to such owner, a just compen-

 

sation for the destruction, injury, removal or use of

 

his, her or their property.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Mayor and Ci-
