respectively exonerate themselves from being so liable,

the stockholders at a general meeting, which they shall

have power to call for that purpose.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act

ing privileges on the company aforesaid, nor the right
|
 
|
to issue any note in the nature of a bank note.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall con-

eighteen hundred and sixty, and thereafter until the

|
same shall be repealed, as it may then be, either in

whole or part, at the pleasure of the Legislature.

CHAPTER 27.

A supplement to an act, entitled, an act to regulate the

Inspection of Leather in the city of Baltimore.

|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
Two districts es-tablished
|
Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Bal-
|
 
|
timore are hereby directed to authorise the City Com-
|
 
|
missioners, of the city of Baltimore, to divide said city
|
 
|
into two districts, as nearly equal as practicable, for
|
 
|
the inspection of leather,
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Inspectors of
|
Rotation
|
Leather in the city of Baltimore shall attend in week-
|
 
|
ly rotation in said districts, and inspect such leather
|
 
|
as may be presented to them.
|

WHEREAS, it has heretofore been represented to this

General Assembly of Maryland, that by increasing the

number of Commissioners of Baltimore county, more
|
 
|
local information may be possessed by that board, and
|
 
|
