SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Trustees shall

SEC. 5. And be it enacted. That the Treasurer of

the Western Shore he, and he is hereby authorised and
|
|

directed to pay annually to the Trustees of the Upper
|
|
 
|
Marlborough Academy, all the money which is now
|
|
 
|
paid annually to the Trustees of the Charlotte Hall
|
|
 
|
School, for or on account of Prince George's County,
|
|
 
|
and that all such acts of Assembly as are inconsistent
|
|
 
|
with the provisions of this act, he, and the same are
|
|
 
|
hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 205.

An act relating to Lotteries, in the State of Maryland,
|
|
 
|
WHEREAS, it is the wish of this Legislature, that
|
|
 
|
the Lottery System shall expire at as early a day as
|
|
 
|
practicable, — Therefore,
|
|
Imposition of ex-isting grants
|
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
 
|
Maryland, That the State Lottery Commissioners shall
|
|
 
|
take all the grants of Lotteries now existing the Com-
|
|
 
|
missioners of which shall have within six months after
|
|
 
|
the passage of this act, acquiesced in its provisions,
|
|
 
|
and draw the lotteries or dispose of the schemes, under
|
|
 
|
such grants, in the same manner as they draw or dis-
|
|
 
|
pose of the State schemes, until they raise the sums.
|
|
 
|
clear of the expense of drawing the same, and all de-
|
|
 
|
ductions and abatements whatsoever, authorised to be
|
|
 
|
raised by such grants respectively, and that they pay
|
|
 
|
Over to the commissioners appointed in said grants
|
|
 
|
respectively, the money when raised, to be applied to
|
|
 
|
the purposes of such grants.

Explanatory
|
SEC. a. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act
|
|
 
|
shall be so construed as to revive any lottery grant
|
|
 
|
which shall have expired before the passage of the same.
