CHAP. 101.

 

Passed Feb.12,1836

An act to divorce Reuben Gilder, of Baltimore, from his

 

wife, Eliza M. Gilder.

Divorce

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

 

That Reuben Gilder, be and he is hereby divorced from

 

his wife, Eliza M. Gilder, and the marriage heretofore

 

had and solemnized between them, is hereby declared

 

to be null and void, and the said parties are hereby di-

 

vorced, a "vinculo matrimonii.

 

CHAPTER 101.

Passed Feb. 14 ,1831

A supplement to an act, entitled, an act to Incorporate

 

the Merchants' Fire Insurance Company of Balti-

 

more.

When to organise

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That the Merchants Fire Insurance Compa-

 

ny of Baltimore, may go into operation as soon as

 

three thousand shares of its capital stock are subscrib-

 

ed for, and twenty dollars paid on each of said three

 

thousand shares.

Payment on stock

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the full sum of

 

fifty dollars a share on said three thousand shares,

 

shall be called and paid in, within two years from the

 

time the said company goes into operation, and the

 

full sum of fifty dollars shall be called and paid in, on

 

each share of the residue of the stock, and the increas-

 

ed stock of said company, from the time of the sub-

 

scribing thereto.

Publication requir-ed

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty

 

of the commissioners named in the charter to which

 

this is a supplement, to cause this act to be publised

 

for six successive days, in at least two of the. daily

 

newspapers in the city of Baltimore, and none of the

persons who have hertofore subscribed to the capital

 

stock of said company shall be bound by said subscrip-

 

tion, unless each of them shall express their consent

 

in writing in the book or books of the company in

 

which said subscription was made.
