CHAP. 13

CHAPTER, 12.

Passed Jan. 16,1836

A supplement to an act, entitled, an act for building a

 

bridge over the Little North-East, in Cecil County,

 

near McCauley's mill, passed at December session,

 

eighteen hundred and thirty-three, chapter sixty-one.

Levy and settlement directed

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

 

That the Commissioners of Cecil county he, and they

 

are hereby authorised at their discretion to levy at

 

their next annual levy, on the assessable property of

 

said county, to be collected as other county charges

 

are, such a sum of money as may be necessary for

 

paying and defraying any balance due or to become

 

due for building and completing the bridge authorised

 

by the act to which this is a supplement, which sum

 

of money when levied, shall be applied. used and ac-

 

counted for according to the provisions of said act.

 

CHAPTER 13.

Passed Jan. 20,1836

An act to incorporate the, Queen Anne's County Silk

 

Company.

Preamble

WHEREAS, sundry persons in Queen Anne's county,

 

in this State, hereinafter named, have formed them-

 

selves into a society or company for the purpose of

 

purchasing a farm, cultivating mulberry trees, rais-

 

ing silk worms, making, manufacturing, and selling

 

silk, and also to cultivate said farm in other articles

 

for sale, with a capital of five thousand dollars: —

 

Therefore,

Fees incorpora-ted, &c.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

 

of Maryland, That Thomas W. Hopper, James K.

 

Harper, John McFeely, Philemon B. Hopper, senior,

 

Sel ah Tucker, William Harper, John Perry, James

 

W. Harris, William H. Emory, Daniel C. H. Emory,

 

Mary Emory, Arthur Emory, senior, Arthur Emory,

 

junior, Edward H. Leaverton, Henry Lowe, Thomas

 

C. Brown, Doctor James Bordley, Mary Elizabeth
