may have, either in law or equity, in both or either of said
tracts of land.

Widows dower
provided tor.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That in case Anna B. Tilgh-
man, the widow and relict of the said George Tilghman,
deceased, shall give her consent in writing to the said Fris-
by Tilghman, senior, and John R. Dall, trustees as aforesaid,
to pell the whole of both, or either of said tracts of land,
free and disencumbered of any right of dower of the said
widow, in and to the same; and the said trustees shall ac-
cordingly make sale of the whole of both or either of said
tracts, free and disencumbered of said right of dower, it
shall be the duty of the said Frisby Tilghman, senior, and
John R. Dall, trustees, as aforesaid, to pay over to the said
Anna B. Tilghman, such part or portion of the proceeds of
said sale as may be equivalent to her dower estate in said
tracts of land, or either of them; and that her part or por-
tion of the same shall be the same part or portion that is al-
lowed by the county court of Washington county, as a court
of equity, as an equivalent for the dower of a widow in
lands and tenements, sold under and by virtue of a decree
of that court, and to be ascertained by reference to the rules
and principles by which that court is regulated; And it is
hereby enacted and declared. That after such consent in writ-
ing, given by the said Anna B. Tilghman, and said sale of the
whole of said tracts of land, or either of them, in compli-
ance therewith, and payment to said Anna B. Tilghman, of
such part or portion of the proceeds oi said sale, as may be
equivalent to her dower in said tracts of land, or either of
them, ascertained as aforesaid, the said Anna B. Tilgh-
man shall be completely and effectually barred from
any right, title, interest, claim, and demand in and to
said tracts of land, or either of them, which the said Anna
may hare theretofore had by virtue of any right of dower
in the same; and that the title to the whole of both, or either
of said tracts of land, upon the execution and acknowledg-
ment of the deed or deeds by the said trustees, as are pro-
vided for in the second section of this act, shall be vested in
the purchaser or purchasers thereof, free, and discharged
Irom any claim or right of dower whatever, either in law
or equity, or otherwise, of the said Anna B. Tilghman.

Proceeds of sale-
how appropriated.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That all the proceeds arising
from the sales of the said two tracts of land, after paying
thereout such portion or part as may be equivalent to the
widow's dower in the same, as hereinbefore provided, and
all the necessary expenses incurred by the said trustees,
shall be applied by the said Frisby Tilghman, senior, and
John R. Dall, trustees as aforesaid, to the payment and dis-
