of a deed to said church by the trustees appointed to sell
the said mortgaged premises, the leave of the legislature is
hereby granted to the said church and their successors, to
hold the land so sold and conveyed, in fee simple.

CHAPTER 77.

An act to provide more effectually for the repairing and re-
building of Bridges in Baltimore county, and for other
purposes.

Levy for re-build-
ing or repairing.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the commissioners of Baltimore county, be
and they are hereby authorised and empowered from time
to time, to levy such sum or sums of money upon the as-
sessable property of said county, as they, in their judgment
and discretion, shall deem sufficient for the repairing or re-
building of bridges upon county roads in said county; and
they are hereby authorised and directed to apply the said
sum or sums to such repairs or rebuilding as aforesaid, as
may from time to time be necessary in their opinion.

For new bridges.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That in all cases where it may
be found necessary for public convenience, to build a new
bridge in said county, they may, in their discretion, from
time to time, levy such sum or sums of money as they may
deem sufficient for the same, not exceeding the sum of eight
hundred dollars for any one bridge in the same year; and
they are hereby authorised and directed to apply said sum
or sums of money to the building of such new bridge.

Aw act authorisiug the Levy Court of Frederick county, at
their discretion, to levy a sum of money to erect a Bridge
over Linganore creek.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That from and after the passage of this act, the levy
court of Frederick county, be and is hereby authorised, if
in their discretion the public interest and convenience re-
quire it, to levy a sum of money not exceeding eight hun-
dred dollars, for the erection of a bridge over Linganore
creek, at or near where the public road leading from Liber-
