RESOLUTIONS.

 

No. 110.

Passed Mar.13, 1832

Resolution relative to the Digest of the Insolvent Laws,

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

the governor, be and he hereby is authorised and requested

 

to subscribe, on behalf of the state, for fifty copies of a

 

Digest of the Laws on Insolvency, by John L. Dorsey, Esq.

 

Provided, That the cost of the same shall not exceed three

 

dollars per copy.

 

Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore, shall

 

upon the certificate of the governor, that fifty copies of the

 

above mentioned work have been deposited in the council

 

chamber, for the use of the state, pay to the said John L.

 

Dorsey, Esq. or to his order, the sum of one hundred and

 

fifty dollars.

 

Resolved, That the governor cause one copy of the said

 

work to be delivered to each of the clerks of the courts of

 

appeals and county courts, and also to the commissioners of

 

insolvent debtors, for the uses of their respective offices,

 

aud that the remaining copies be deposited in the State Li-

 

brary.

 

No. 111.

Passed Mar.14,1831

Resolution in favor of Doctor Thomas Tillotson, of the

 

State of New York.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

the register of the land office for the western shore, issue to

 

Dr. Thomas Tillotson, of the state of New York, a sur-

 

geon in the Maryland line during the war of the revolution, a

 

common warrant for two hundred acres of vacant land,

 

lying in Alleghany county, and issue a patent for the said

 

quantity of acres of land, upon a certificate of the survey

 

thereof duly returned without requiring payment or proof

 

of payment or any composition money therefor.
