Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That the justices of the levy

into effect the intentions and provisions of this act; to be

 

collected and paid as other county levies are, which said

 

money, when collected, shall be paid by the collector to the

 

trustees of the poor, or to the order oi them, or a majority

 

of them, under their common seal, who are hereby author-

 

ised and required to receive and apply the same to and for

 

the use, benefit and charge of maintaining the poor, in pur-

 

chasing provisions and other necessaries for their use and

 

labor, for providing men and women servants, to be under

 

the direction of the overseer, for purchasing materials for

 

the use and employment of all the poor who shall be able to

 

work, and to carry into effect the other provisions of this

 

act.

Repealing clause.

Sec. 11 . And be it enacted, That all laws contrary to the

 

provisions of this act, be and the same are hereby re-

 

pealed.

An act to provide f or the opening and extending Fayette street,
in the City of Baltimore.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That James W. McCulloh, William H. Freeman,

 

Asahel Hussey, William J, Ward, and James Kelley, be,

 

and they are hereby appointed commissioners, with power

 

to them, or a majority of them, to open and extend Fayette

 

street, in the city of Baltimore, from Cove street westwardly

 

to Gilmor street; as hid down upon the plat heretofore

 

nade under the direction of the commissioners appointed by

 

an act of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled, An

 

act relating to the City of Baltimore, passed at December
