CHAP. 245,

which shall have been established in virtue of this act, in

 

the same ratio, and at the same time as the present donation

 

of eight hundred dollars is provided for being distributed.

Repealing clause.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That any thing, in any law of

 

this state, inconsistent with the provisions of this act, or re-

 

pugnant thereto, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

An act Regulating the Inspection of Green Hides and Skins,

 

in the City of Baltimore.

Section 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the governor of this State shall nominate, and

 

with the consent of the council, appoint, on or before the

 

first day of May next, and annually thereafter, a suitable and

 

proper person to be inspector of green hides and skins in

 

the city of Baltimore.

duties of his office the inspector shall make oath or affirma-

well and truly discharge his duty in the office of an inspec-

 

tor, according to the best of his skill and judgment, and ac,

 

cording to the directions of this act, without fear, favour,

 

affection, malice or partiality; and the same shall forthwith

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the inspector shall also,

 

before entering upon the duties of his office, with one suffi-

 

cient security, to be approved by the mayor of said city

 

council, execute a bond to the State, in the penalty of one

 

thousand dollars, conditioned to pay ail such damages as

 

may be sustained by reason of any wilful omission, refusal

 

or neglect, in discharging the duties of said office: which

 

bond shall also be filed with the said clerk, and may be pros-

 

ecuted by any person injured or damaged on account of any

 

such omission, neglect, or refusal.
