said Joseph Stone, shall be considered assests; and he is
hereby required to account for the same in the settlement of
his administration, with the orphan's court of Saint Mary's
county.

CHAP. 211

Sec. 5 And be it enacted, That in all cases where
there shall appear fees and taxes due to the said William
Williams, and no personal property can be found to satisfy
the same, that then, and in that case, the said Joseph Stone
be, and he is hereby authorised and empowered to sell any
real estate that may heretofore have been advertised by the
said William Williams, under the act of seventeen hundred
and ninety-seven, chapter ninety, giving three weeks pre-
vious notice, at the most public places in the election district
where the land lies, and at the court house door of said
county; and the said Joseph Stone is hereby invested with
the same powers and authority to transfer to the purchaser
thereof, a title to the same, and equally valid, as the said
William Williams, as sheriff or collector, could do were he
living.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted. That in all cases where there
may have been personal property during the life time of
said William Williams, and at this time there is none visible,
that then, and in that case, it may be lawful for the said
Joseph Stone, administrator of William Williams, and he is
hereby vested with full power to sell the real estate of such
persons; first complying with the requisitions of an act of
assembly passed at December session, seventeen hundred
and ninety-seven, chapter ninety, entitled, An act for the
more effectual collection of the county charges, in the sever-
al counties of this State.

tinue in force until the first day of June, eighteen hundred
and thirty-four.
