CHAPTER 190.

CHAP. 191.

A further supplement to the act, entitled, An act to regu-
late Elections.

Passed Mar. 5,1833

WHEREAS, in consequence of the destruction of the re-
cords and papers belonging to the clerks office of Saint Ma-
ry's county, it has become necessary to have the lines and
bounds of the several election districts of Saint Mary's coun-
ty described anew — Therefore,

Preamble.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mar u-
land, That James Kirk, Robert Holton, Stephen Gough,
Joseph Dunbar, and James T. Sothoron, or a majority of
them, be, and they are hereby appointed commissioners to
ascertain and describe the bounds of the several election
districts of Saint Mary's county, as understood to be the
bounds described in the return made under, and by virtue
of the act of assembly to which this is a further supplement;
and the said commissioners, or a majority of them, shall
on or before the first Monday of August next, deliver to the
clerk of Saint Mary's county court, a description in writ-

boundaries of each election district, and the said clerk shall

record the same in the records of said county, and when so
made and recorded, to be taken and considered as the
bounds of the several election districts of said county.

Record thereof .

Sec 2, And be it enacted, That the commissioners ap-
pointed by this act, or a majority of them, shall meet at Leo-
nard town, in the county aforesaid, on the first Monday of
May next, for the purpose of performing the duties imposed
by this act, and the said commissioners so meeting may ad-
journ from time to time, until the said duties are perform-
ed.

Sec . 3. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
shall be allowed for their services, the sum of two dollars
for every day they may be engaged in the performance of
the duties imposed by this act, to be levied and paid as other
county charges are.
