CHAP. 157.

court, in relation to the proportion of the school fund, to
which the said county is, or hereafter may be entitled,
exhibiting, in a particular manner, how the same has or may
be appropriated and disposed of, which said book or books
shall be kept open and accessible to the examination and
inspection of the citizens of the county, and all other per-
sons that may be interested, or in any way concerned therein.

Compensation to
commits toners.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
shall be entitled to the additional compensation of one dol-
lar for every day necessarily engaged in the discharge of
the duties herein prescribed, the same to be paid out of the
aforesaid dividends and funds.

Repealing clause.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That any law or any part of
the law, to which this is a supplement, inconsistent with
this act, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

 

CHAPTER 157.

Passed Mar. 1,1832

An act to direct the court of Queen Ann's county to author-
ise the sale of the real estate of Mark Benton, deceased.

Cmm authorised
to order sale.

Section 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the judges of Queen Ann's county court, are
hereby authorised and required, upon the petition of any
one or more of the heirs or legal representatives of Mark
Benton, deceased, or any one claiming under such heir, to
decree a sale of the lands of which the said Mark died
seized, in Queen Ann's and Talbot county, although the
names of all the said heirs may not be mentioned in said
bill, and to appoint a trustee or trustees to make said sale,
who shall give bond and be governed by the same rules as
trustees are in any other case.

Proceeds deposited

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the money arising from
said sale or sales, shall, when received, be deposited by
order of the court, in some bank, to be specified in the
order for that purpose.

Notice to creditors.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That notice by publication in
such newspaper as the court may direct, shall be given of
the amount of money so deposited, and the name of the
bank in which it is deposited, and that all persons having a
claim to any pan of said money, shall file their petition in
Queen Arm's county court, by a day to be named by the
court, stating how he or she is entitled to the same, and
