CHAP. 36.

LAWS OF MARYLAND.
of government as directs that Frederick county shall be
divided into eleven election districts, be and they are here-
by repealed.

To be divided
into twelve dis-
tricts.

Sec 2. And be it enacted, That Frederick county shall
be divided into twelve separate election districts, and the
additional district shall be taken and laid off from the sixth
and the seventh election districts as they are now num-
bered.

When con-
firmed to be

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That if this act shall be con-
firmed by the general assembly of Mary land, after the next
election of delegates, during the first session after such new
election, as the constitution and form of government di-
rects, in such case this act, and the alterations herein con-
tained, shall constitute and he considered as a part of the
constitution and form of government, to all intents and
purposes, any thing therein contained to the contrary not-
withstanding.

 
 

CHAPTER 36.

Passed Feb. 2.

An Act altering and changing the Name, of Stephen
Adams to Stephen Henning Adams.

Name changed

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the name of Stephen Adams, of Saint-
Mary's county, be and the same is hereby altered and
changed to Stephen Henning Adams, and it shall and may
be lawful for the said Stephen Adams, at all times hereaf-
ter, to be called and known by, and hold and use the name
of, Stephen Henning Adams, and by the name of Stephen
Henning Adams to purchase, sell, convey or demise, to
sue and be sued, in any court of law or equity.

Rights made
valid.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all securities, promises,
contracts, assurances, deeds, and lawful acts whatsoe-
ver, hereafter to be made or done by or to the said Ste-
phen Adams, by the name of Stephen Henning Adams,
shall be of the same force and effect, and equally availa-
ble, to all intents and purposes, as if the name of Stephen
Henning Adams had been his true and proper name.

Rights con-
firmed.

. Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all rights and privi-
leges which are now enjoyed by the said Stephen Adams,
and that all liabilities to which he is now subject, under
the name of Stephen Adams, be and the same are hereby
continued and extended to him under the name of Stephen
Henning Adams.
