tion, in which shall be duly entered all the subscriptions
to the use of the said corporate objects, and other proceed-
ings of the said corporation, which entries of subscription
shall be signed by each respective subscriber, and which,
with proof of payment, shall be evidence of a right to vote
as a member of the corporation; and the proceedings of the
trustees, and all other matters authorised by this act, may-
be regulated by a majority of the members assembled at
any annual meeting, and notice of such meetings shall be
given in such manner as the trustees shall direct.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the property conveyed
in trust, and the estate and interest therein vested in the
trustees above named, is hereby vested in the corporation
hereby created, and the said corporation is hereby empow-
ered to receive an.l hold any further estate and quantity of
lands, not exceeding in the whole fifty acres, and subscrip-
tions or donations for the purposes expressed in this act,
not exceeding in value five hundred dollais per annum.

An Act to authorise the Justices of the Levy Court of
Caroline County to levy a sum of money for the pur-
poses therein mentioned.

causeway.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the. General Assembly of
Maryland, Vhat the justices of the levy court of Caro-
line county be, and they are hereby authorised and empow-
ered, to levy a rum of money, not exceeding one hun-
dred dollars, to build a bridge and causeway over Old
Town Branch, on the county road leading from Greens-

borough to Keene's Cross Roads in said county.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That the justices of the said
court are hereby authorised and empowered, to contract
with any person or persons to build said bridge and cause-
way, and do whatever is necessary and requisite to carry
said law into effect.
