CHAP. 144.
Guardinn may
lease out lots.

that a law may pass authorising him to lease out the pro-
perty of said orphans, for the residue of the terms for
which the said property was originally leased, and the
prayer of the petitioner appearing reasonable, Therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Jonas M'Pherson, guardian to Frederick
K. Allcock, Margaret D. Allcock, John D. Allcock, and
Amelia K Allcock, orphan children of William Allcock,
late of the city of Baltimore, deceased, be and he is here-
by authorised and empowered, to lease out for the unex-
pired term for which the original lease was granted, all the
right, title, claim and interest, of the said orphan children,
of, in and to certain lots in the city of Baltimore, to them
belonging, and particularly mentioned and described in the

Proviso

office of the register of wills of Baltimore county, and to
execute leases for the same; Provided, that no lease made
by him shall be for a less sum than is now chargeable there-
on, nor shall be deemed valid until such lease shall have
been submitted to the orphans court of Baltimore county,
and be approved by the said court.

To account for
rents, &.c.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That the said guardian shall
duly return the rents, issues and profits, that may by him
he received from such property, to the orphans court of
Baltimore county, and account for the same as other por-
tions of the estate of his said wards.

 
 

CHAPTER 144.

An Act relating to the Police of the City of Baltimore.

Firing crack-
ers, &c.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the mayor and city council of Baltimore, be and they
are hereby authorised and empowered, to make and pass
such ordinances as they may deem necessary and proper,
to suppress the evil and pernicious practice of firing and
discharging crackers within the limits of said city, either
by prohibiting the sale of crackers, or otherwise.
