An Act to provide for the relief of Insolvent Debtors
from Imprisonment for Costs in certain cases.

|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That any insolvent debtor who may apply for a personal
or final discharge, under the laws of this state providing
for the relief of insolvent debtors, shall be entitled to in-
clude in the schedule of his debts, all costs adjudged, or
which shall accrue after judgment rendered in any penal
action against him, and to be relieved from the payment
thereof, in the same manner, and upon the same conditions,
that he may be discharged from the debts by him contract-

CHAPTER 126.

An Act to reduce the rates of Inspecting and Guaging
in this State.
|

|
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the first day of May next,
it shall not be lawful for any guager in the city of Balti-
more to charge or receive for guaging more than the follow-
ing rates, viz. For all barrels and half barrels, six cents,
for all casks, the capacity of which is more than forty gal-
lons, ten cents.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That if any guager shall
violate this act, by charging or receiving a greater compen-
sation for guaging than the rates herein contained, he shall
be liable to indictment in the city court of Baltimore, and
shall forfeit and pay for every such offence, fifty dollars, to
