CHAP. 110.

CHAPTER 109.
A Supplement to an act, entitled, An Act to build or
repair the Jail of Prince-George's County.

Passed Feb 17

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the levy court of Prince-George's coun-
1y be and they are hereby authorised and required, to levy
the sum of twelve hundred and fifty dollars, in addition to
the sum now authorised by the act to which this is a supple-
ment, the same to he levied and collected as other county
charges are in said county; Provided, that the said levy
court shall not be authorised to levy on the assessable pro-
perty of said county, for the purpose aforesaid, a sum of
money exceeding eight hundred and thirty-four dollars in
any one year.

Proviso

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the paid levy court
shall be and they are hereby authorised and empowered to
borrow from time to time, such sum or sums of money not
exceeding in the whole amount twenty-five hundred dol-
lars, in anticipation of the levies authorised by this act, and
the act to which this is a supplement.

Money may be
borrowed.

CHAPTER 110.

 
 

A Supplement to an act, entitled, An act to incorporate
the New Market Academy, in Dorchester County, pass-
ed at December session eighteen hundred and twenty-
nine, chapter one hundred and seventy -three.

Passed Feb 17

Section 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act, it
shall and may be lawful for the board of trusteeg for the
New Market Academy, in Dorchester, to consist of seven
members instead of six.
