The House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for the support of the Maryland Inebriate Asylum.

Which was adopted by yeas and nays as follows :

Said bill was then read the second time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

April 4th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message asking the return to your
Honorable Body, for further consideration, the bid entitled
an Act to amend the charter of the Chesapeake and Ohio
Canal Company, and to repeal so much of the Act passed
March 22d, 1833, entitled an Act to provide for the continua-
tion of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road to Harper's Ferry,
and for other purposes, and respectfully concur therein, and
herewith return the bill.

Chief Clerk.
Also, returned the following Senate bills :

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Cam-
bridge Female Seminary.
