Add to the end of 2nd section : "nor shall they be in-
terested directly or indirectly, in any contract in which the
county, may be interested."

Sub-section 2, line 89, after "March," insert "or as soon
as may be practicable."

In the last section, insert after the word "effect," in 1st
line "except as to the time of election."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the third time and
passed by yeas and nays as follows :

LVI. of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Licen-
ses," sub-title "Coal Mining,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate Joint Resolution in relation to the Great Seal
of the State,

Being on second reading,

Mr. Steiner submitted the following amendment :

"That the Governor of the State, is hereby authorized to
have the Great Seal of the State, so altered as to make it
conform to the Arms of Lord Baltimore, as represented on
the title-page of Bacon's Laws of Maryland, printed 1765, in
Annapolis, by Jonas Green.

Which was adopted.

Said Resolution was then read the second time, as amended,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money, for the purpose of removing the remains of Con-
federate dead to London Park Cemetery,
