The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and re-
turned the following Senate bills :

The Senate bill entitled an Act relating to the bequest and
devise of Charles Spates, late of Montgomery county, to the
Baptist Church, at Rockville.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

The Senate bill entitled an Act to encourage the destruc-
tion of Hawks, in. Harford and Worcester counties.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

The Senate bill entitled an Act relating to the Trustees of
the Education Fund of the Baltimore Annual Conference.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the protection of young
fish, in the waters of Elk River and its Tributaries, in Cecil
county,

With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 1, lines 2 and 3, strike out the words "except dur-,
ing the months of March, April and May."

Section 1, line 3, after the word "River" insert "and North
East River."

Section 1, strike out "its" and insert "their."

Amend the title, insert after the word "River," "and
North East River;" and strike out the word "its" and insert
"their."

Pending the consideration of the amendments,
The bill was ordered to lie over.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to revive and extend the
Act of January Session, 1872, chapter 420, entitled an Act
to revive, re-enact and amend certain sections of the Act of
January Session, 1852, chapter 316, entitled an Act to autho-
rize the appointment of a Commissioner to take testimony;
to provide for the recording of copies of wills and other
papers, of which the originals were lost, by the burning of
the Court House in Dorchester county, and to remedy, as far
as practicable, the evils likely to ensue from the destruction
of the records of said county.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of Noah

Webster, of Somerset county.
