NEGATIVK—None.
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The House bill entitled an Act relating to the Registration
of Voters,

Being on third reading,

Mr. Stevens submitted the following amendments :

Section 9, line 14, (printed bill,) insert "in two newspa-
pers, in the city of Baltimore, and said newspapers shall be
designated by the Mayor and Register of the city of Balti-
more, and one newspaper in each county."

Mr. Steiner submitted the following amendment to the
amendment:

Strike out "one newspaper in each county," and insert
"two newspapers in each county, (if there be two,) one of
which shall be of opposite politics to the other."

Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows :
