House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 25 of Arti-
cle XII, of Public Local Laws of Harford county, sub-title
'Collectors,' and to re-enact the same with amendments."

Which was read the first tjme and referred to Messrs.
Walsh, Longwell and Lloyd.

Also,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 872 of Arti-
cle IV. of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'City of Bal-
timore,' relating to the limits of direct taxation within said
city, and to re-enact the same with amendments."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Baltimore city. '

Senate bill entitled "An Act to amend the third section of the
Act of January Session, 1867, chapter 268, entitled an Act to
incorporate the Baltimore Warehouse Company, as amended
by the first section of the Act of January Session, 1870,
chapter 125, entitled an Act to amend the Act of January
Session, 1867, chapter 268, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Baltimore Warehouse Company,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Seriate bill entitled, "An Act to repeal sections 105 and
106 of Article XXVI. of the Code of Public General Laws,
title 'Corporations,' sub-title 'Insurance Companies,' and to
re-enact the same with amendments,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Earle, from the Joint Committee of Conference of the
two Houses, submitted the following .

REPORT:

The Committee of Conference of the two Houses, to which
has been referred the action of their respective bodies, upon
the Joint Resolutions introduced in relation to the Statue of
Chief Justice Taney, beg leave to report the following Joint
Resolutions as the result of their conference, and recommend
their adoption :

Whereas, It is proper and right that the public services of
so good and great a man as the late Chief Justice Taney,
should be cherished and preserved in the memories of our
people, and kept before the youth of our State as eminently
worthy of their emulation:
