The House bill relating to the registration of voters, with
the following proposed amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Add a new section to the bill as section 27.

"And be it enacted, That the qualification of residence
herein set forth, shall be, that the party who shall apply for
registration, shall be at the time of the election next suc-
ceeding his application for registration, a citizen of this State
for the period of twelve months, and further, that he shall
have actually lived, and had his place of abode, for six
months preceding the first election, after his application for
registration, in the ward or district in which he applies for
registration."

Section 9, line 14, priated bill, after the won! "published"
insert "in one newspaper printed in the German language,
and one in which is printed by authority the Public General
Laws, and."

Mr. Davis, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

The House bill entitled an Act to empower Joshua F.
Cockey, Executor of Joshua F. Cockey, late of Baltimore
county, deceased, to donate a lot of ground to a Church, or
Religious Society.

Which, was read the second time.

Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably

The House bill entitled an Act regulating the sale of re-
served seats in theatres, concert and lecture rooms, and other
places of public amusement, in the State of Maryland.

With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED .

Strike out all from the word "be," in line 3, section 1, to
the end of the section, and insert "that after the doors of the
theatre may be opened, unless such seat shall be distinctly mark-
ed 'Reserved,' by a placard to that effect, placed on the same,
and the occupant of such shall not be disturbed after the term-
ination of the first act, although he may not have purchased
a ticket for the same."

Section 2, strike out ''marked," and insert "sold."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported favor-
ably.
