The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved.

Mr. Phelps, from the Committee on Internal Improvements,
reported favorably

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal nection 1 of Arti-
cle XXVIII. of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"County Commissioners," and re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read the second time.
Also, reported favorably

The House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company, and for other purposes.

Which was read the second time.
Also, reported favorably

The House hill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and
Council of Baltimore city, to subscribe to the capital stock of
the Maryland Land Company.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Phelps, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

The House bill entitled au Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Dorchester county, to aid in the construc-
tion and completion of the Vienna Rail Road,

With the following amendments :

Strike out the word "fifty," in section 1, line 10, and in-
sert "thirty."

Strike out all of section 1, after the word ''that," in the
16th line of said section, and insert the following: "One-
