Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled "An Act to refund to Isaiah Canter,
the sum of $4.25 erroneously paid by him into the Treasury."

Which was read the first time.
Also,

Reported unfavorably on the Senate bill entitled "An Act
for the relief of the Cambridge Female Seminary."

On motion by Mr. Phelps,

The further consideration of said report was postponed, and
the bill ordered to be printed.

Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled "An Act to add an additional section
to Article XXII. of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, entitled Comptroller."

Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Davis,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Davis, Stevens and Billings-
ley, to report a bill entitled "An Act to repeal an Act, to
amend the charter of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Bal-
timore Rail Road Company."

Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled "An Act to provide for cases of va-
cancy in the office of Governor, according to the 7th section
of Article II. of the Constitution."

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Davis, from a Select Committee, to which leave had
been granted, reported a bill entitled "An Act to legalize the
organization of the Parkton and Manchester Rail Road Com-
pany."

Which was read the first time.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 2, chap-
ter 410, of the Acts of Assembly, passed at January Session,
1872, entitled.an Act to repeal section 2, of chapter 274, pas-
sed at January Session, 1870, entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 2, of chapter 31, of the Acts of Assembly of 1865, in rela-
tion to the publication of Local Laws, and to re-enact said
section 2, of chapter 410, passed at January Session, 1872,
with amendments, and to amend and re-enact the same."

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
