Maryland Hospital to recapitulate here the statements which
have been already submitted, nor to vindicate themselves
from charges that have been made against them. But it is
their duty to state, in the clearest way, that unless the Leg-
islature will at this time provide the means to meet the pres-
ent claims against the Institution, and for its future support,
the property will, in all probability, be sold under execution
to meet the demands of creditors, before the session of your
Honorable Body in 1876; and it will become the duty of the
Roard of Visitors to close their official relations, by providing
for the pay patients, by removing them to Institutions that
may be willing to receive them, and returning the pauper
class to the counties from which they came.
