Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Fields moved to reconsider the vote by which the re-
port of the Finance Committee, on the House bill in relation
to Revenue and Taxes, was adopted, and to recommit said
bill to the Committee on Finance.

Which was adopted.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following:

Senate bill entitled an Act supplementary to the Act of
1865, chapter 151, entitled an Act to incorporate the town of
Newtown, in Woscester county, authorizing the Town Com-
missioners of Newtown, to build a lockup within the limits
of said town.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also,

The House bill in relation to Turnpike Companies, in Bal ti-
more county.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Davis, Field and Billingsley.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptrol-
ler to settle the claim of Lawrence D. Deitz.

Which was read the first the time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an. Act to declare the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest of Rebecca
Zimmerman, late of Frederick county, deceased, to the Evan-
gelical Lutheran Church of Frederick.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered the following message:

BY THK HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 30th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message asking a return of House
bill entitled an Act to repeal Article LXXXI. of the Code of
Public General Laws of the State of Maryland, sub-titled
Revenues and Taxes and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, and herewith return the same.
