The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered

The House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section
to Article IV. of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City
of Baltimore.''

Which, was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Stevens, Denson and Blake.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company, and for other purposes.

Which was read the first time and referred to Committee
on Internal Improvements.

Mr. Lloyd presented the following

JOINT RESOLUTION.

WHEREAS, Certain errors have been made in altering the
great seal of the State of Maryland ; therefore—

Be it Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor of the State shall be authorized, at his discre-
tion, to have said errors corrected.

Which was read the first time.

On motion by Mr. Claggett,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Elections to re-
port a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 84 of the Act of
of 1872, chapter 418, entitled an Act to repeal sections 79, 80,
81, 82, 83, 84 and 85 of Article XXXV. of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Elections," sub-title "Repre-
sentatives in Congress," and to amend and re-enact said sec-
tion 84.

Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article LXIX.
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Officers," by
adding thereto additional sections.

Which was read the first time.

The House bill entitled an Act to protect travelers on
highways, in Baltimore county, at and near Rail Road Cross-
ings, in said county,

Being on its third reading,

Mr. Suit moved that said bill be referred to the Committee
on Internal Improvements, and be printed.
Which was rejected.
