On motion by Mr. Phelps,

The vote by which said bill was ordered to be engrossed,
was reconsidered.

Mr. Williams, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported

The House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Mary-
land Trust, Safe Deposit and Insurance Company of Balti-
more.

With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 2, line 7, strike out from the words "dispose of,"
to the word "upon," in line 8.

Section 4, strike out from the words "subject to," in line
22, to the words "and should," in line 25.

Section 6, after the word "duties," in line 8, insert "pro-
vided the said Court shall deem it unnecessary to require any
further security.''

Section 8, after the word "office," in line 9, insert "if in
the opinion of the Court the said security shall be sufficient."

Section 8, strike out all after the word ''office," in line 9,
to the word "and," in line 11.

Which were adopted, and
Said bill read the second time.

Mr. Brattan, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

The House bill entitled an Act to enable the Commission-
ers of Somerset county to provide a fund for the redemption
of outstanding county bonds.

Which was read the second time.

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 287 of
the Acts of January Session, 1870, entitled an Act to repeal
section 810 of Article IV. of the Code of Public Local Laws,
chapter 367, passed at January Session, 1867, and to re-en-
act the same with an amendment,

Being on its third reading,
Mr. Blake submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED,

After the word, "misconduct," in line 32, add the follow-
ing : "And whenever any officer of police, policeman or
detective shall be appointed, he shall receive a commission,
which shall date from the time of his appointment, and shall
