Act of January Session, 1872, chapter 420, entitled an Act
to revive, re-enact and amend certain sections of the Act of
January Session, 1852, chapter 316, entitled an Act to au-
thorize the appointment of a Commissioner to take testimony,
to provide for the recording of copies of wills and other
papers, of which the originals were lost, by the burning of
the Court House in Dorchester county, and to remedy, as far
as practicable the evils likely to ensue from the destruction of
the records of said county.

Which was read the second time and ordered to be engross-
ed for a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled au Act to appropriate a sum of
money to defray the expense of painting the portraits of
Governors Thomas Stone, William Paca and Thomas John-
son, of Maryland, to be placed in Independence Hall,
Philadelphia,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 40 of Ar-
ticle XI. of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled Frederick
county, as amended by the Act of 1868, chapter 7, and to
re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
