748 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 26,

The Senate bill entitled an Aet to repeal section 16 of Ar-
ticle XXIX. of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Courts," sub-title "Judgments," and to amend and re-
enact the same,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading".

The Senate bill entitled an Act to establish a Board of
Health Commissioners for Baltimore county,

Being on second reading,

Mr. Davis submitted the following amendment:

Section 3, line 8, fill the blank with the words, "three hun-
dred dollars."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time and order-
ed to be engrossed for a third reading.

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 69 of the
Acts of Assembly of 1864, and the section therein provided,
to be added to the Code of Public Local Laws, in relation to
the levying of direct tax by the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore, and to re-enact the said section with amendments,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Claggett, Stevens,

of the Maryland Agricultural College,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The House bill entitled an Act relating to the incorporated
Railroad Companies in this State,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
