The Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to defray the expenses of painting the portraits of
Governors, Thomas Stone, William Paca and Thomas John
son, of Maryland, to be placed in Independence Hall, at
Philadelphia,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading by yeas and nay» as follows :

The Senate bill entitled au Act to further amend the
charter of the Baltimore and Drum Point Rail Road Company,

Being on second reading.

Mr. Williams submitted the following amendnent:

Section 4, strike out from the word "on" in line 7 to the
word "and" in line 7, and insert "another location to be
selected by or under the authority of the County Commis-
sioners of the county, or if the said County Commissioner,
should fail to make such selection within thirty days after
being requested to do so by the company, then on such loca-
tion as may be selected by the said company."

Which was adopted.
