The House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 72 of
Article V. of the Code of Public Local Laws of Calvert
county, relating to "Sheriff," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Davis,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Davis, Steiner and Brewer
to report a bill to provide for a Board of Health for Baltimore
county.

On motion by Mr. Brattan,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Brattan, Steiner and Wil-
liams to introduce a bill how to provide for the number of
officers of this Body, and the salary or per diem thereof.

On motion by Mr. Earle,
The Senate adjourned.

EVENING SESSION.

TUESDAY EVENING, March 24th, 1874,

The Senate met at 8 o'clock, P. M.
Present at roll call the following Senators :

Messrs. Aydelott, Blake, Brewer, Billingsley, Crawford,
Claggett, Davis, Denson, Fields, Longwell, McCulloh,
Phelps, Steiner, Spencer, Tuck, Williams—16.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered

The House bill entitled au Act to repeal Article LXXXI.
of the Code of Public General Laws of the State of Mary-
land, entitled ''Revenue and Taxes," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance, and

Ordered to be printed.
