668 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 23,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to empower N. H. Horsey,
Vincent Moore and S. J. Turpin, of Wicomico county, to cut
a ditch or canal through the marsh from Quantico Creek to
Nanticoke River, in said county,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The House bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act
passed at January Session, 1852, entitled an Act to incorpo-
rate the Santa Clara Mining Association of Baltimore,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Aydelott, Longwell,
Blake, Phelps,
Brewer, Stevens,
Billingsley, Steiner,
Brattan, Suit,
Crawford, Tuck,
Davis, Williams—14.
NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The House bill entitled an Act to amend an Act to incor-
porate the Bachman Valley Rail Road Company, passed at
January Session, 1870, authorizing and empowering the
President and Directors of said Company, or a majority of
them, to issue the bonds of the said Company to an amount
not exceeding $50,000,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Blake, Phelps,
Brewer, Stevens,
Billingsley, Steiner,
Brattan, Suit,
Crawford, Tuck,

title and section to Article IV. of the Public Local Laws of
the city of Baltimore, to be known under the title "Costs,"
and as section one hundred and fifty-nine and a-half of said
