On motion by Mr. Billingsley,
The further consideration of said bill was postponed.

The further order of the day coming up, being

The Senate bill to establish a Board of Public Charities,

was,

On motion by Mr. Steiner,
Ordered to lie over.
The further order of the day, being

The Senate bill entitled an Act to secure a survey to ascer-
tain the best route for a Ship Canal to connect the waters of
the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays, was considered and

On motion by Mr. Stevens,
Postponed until Thursday.

On motion by Mr. Suit,

The further orders of the day for thin day were postponed
until to-morrow.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of bills on second
and third reading.

The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Town Com-
missioners of Berlin, in Worcester county, to erect a guard-
house in said town,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Brewer, Stevens,
