AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In line 22, of section 810, after the word "City," insert
"and a clerk to the said marshal."

In line 42, of section 810, strike out "twenty," and insert
"twenty-five."

In line 48, of section 810, after the words "per annum,"
insert "and the clerk to the marshal shall receive eleven
hundred dollars per annum."

Which were adopted.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Phelps called up

The Senate bill authorizing the County Commissioners of
Dorchester county, to appoint a director in the Delaware and
Dorchester Rail Road Company.

Which was read the second time and ordered to be engross-
ed for a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled au Act to amend an Act entitled au
Act to incorporate the Merchants Mutual Insurance Com-
pany of Baltimore, and to extend the term of endurance of
the same.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and delivered
the following messages:

Gentlemen of the Senate :

We respectfully request your Honorable Body to recede
from the amendments proposed by your Honorable Body to a
bill entitled an Act to repeal section 193 of Article III. of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore county, passed
at the January Session, of the Legislature in the year 1872,
and to re-enact the same with amendments, and herewith re-
turn said bill to your Honorable Body for that purpose.
