The House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, chapter 182 of the Acts of 1853, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Trustees of the Masonic Hall and Church
in Belair.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Walsh, Longwell and Lloyd.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Frederick county, to build a new jail, and
a work-house for Frederick county; to borrow money on the
credit of the county for that purpose; to issue bonds for the
payment of the same; to levy and collect taxes for the pay-
ment of such bonds, and the interest on the same.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Stei-
ner, Claggett and Brewer.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to regulate Fences on ad-
joining lands of persons in Prince George's county.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Suit,
Mudd and Steiner.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 287 of the
Acts of January Session, 1870, entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 810 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Laws, chapter 367,
passed at January Session, 1867, and re-enact the same with
an amendment.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Balti-
more city Senators.

On motion by Mr. Tuck,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Agriculture to re-
port a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2 of Article
LXXXVIII. of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Sheep," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

The Senate proceeded, at 1.45 o'clock, P. M., to the consid-
eration of the order of the day, being
