AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Namely : Fill the blank in line 3, section 2 with the word
"ten."

Mr. Field moved to postpone the further consideration of
the bill until Tuesday next, 22d inst.

Which was determined in the affirmative by yeas and nays
as follows:
