Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message asking for a Committee of
Conference upon House bill entitled an Act to authorize the-
Commissioners of Wicomico county to borrow money on the
credit of the county, for the purpose of purchasing a site on
which to erect a Court House and Jail, to issue bonds for the
payment of the same, and to levy taxes on the assessable
property of the county, to redeem the said bonds and pay
interest thereon, which we concur in, and name upon the
part of the Senate Messrs. Crawford and Fields.

Delegates.

Mr. Stevens again called up the order of the day which
had been postponed for fifteen minutes, being

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Article XCV. of
the Code of Public General Laws relating to Usury, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

The President stated the question before the Senate to be
the amendment submitted by Mr. Phelps on February 13th,
ultimo, viz :
