512 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 10,

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal the 46th section
of an Act passed at the January Session, 1868, chapter 381,
entitled an Act to amend the Public Local Laws of Kent
county, title "Chestertown" by repealing sections 35 and 46,
and to re-enact the same as amended, relating to assessment
and the duty of the Clerk to the County Commissioners, and
to re-enaet the same as amended.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Spencer, Williams and Earle.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 7 of the
Act of 1870, chapter 472, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of
1866, chapter 146, entitled au Act to repeal the charter of
Denton, in Caroline county, &c, and to re-enact the same
with amendments thereto.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Fields, Phelps and Davis.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of the
Act of January Session, 1870, chapter 387, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Washington Colesville and Ashton Turn-
pike Company, and to re-enact the same with amendment.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee Corporations.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 94 of
Article I. of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled Alle-

fany county, sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Consta-
bles," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Mc-
Culloh, Lloyd and Walsh.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to amend an Act passed at
January Session, 1863, chapter 333, entitled an Act to incor-
porate the Savings Institution of Sandy Spring, Maryland.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to add new sections to
Article XIX. of the Code of Public Local Laws relating to
Somerset county.
