506 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 10,

The Clerk of, the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 10th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message asking the return of House
bill entitled an Act to repeal Article XIV., section 114, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Kent County," sub-
title "Justices of the Peace and Constables," and re-enact
the same with an amendment, and herewith return the same.

Chief Clerk.
Also, delivered

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal Article XIV.,
section 114, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Kent
County," sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Constables."

On motion by Mr. Williams,

The rules were suspended so as to reconsider the vote by
which said bill was passed, by yeas and nays as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Brewer, Mudd,
Brattan, Phelps,
Crawford, Steiner,
Claggett, Spencer,

Said bill was then recommitted to the Select Committee.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Billingsley, Williams, Tuck,
Mudd, Suit and the Senators from Baltimore city, to report a
bill for the improvement and renovation of the Tobacco Re-
gion of the State.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 32, of Ar-
ticle L. of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Licen-
ses," sub-title "Foreign Corporations and Companies."

Which was read the first time.
