by Col. Clarence Peters, commanding the 6th Regiment M.
N. G., to convey to the General Assembly an invitation to
review his command on the College grounds, on Monday, the
9th inst., at 11.30 A. M.

Which was read.

Mr. Blake presented the petition of Ruth S. Griffith, widow
of Howard Griffith, asking for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Stevens presented the petition of Wm. H. Collins, S.
Teackle Wallis and others asking an increase of per diem for
the Judges of the Orphans' Court for Baltimore city.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

On motion by Mr. Brewer,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction
of the General Assembly of Maryland to the bequest and de-
vise of Charles Spates, late of Montgomery county, deceased,
